Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need an Ipad, access to the internet, and copyright free images.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to create a video about how I have changed.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will include my video game I am currently working on and how it is going so far.
I started to create a new page for my website. I started to add my list of 10 good ideas, and I added my planning questions and started up my daily log.
I sadly was not here on this day.
I added the last idea to my list of 10, and chose what my video will be about and started working on it.
Added more to the video. Needed to use some placeholders, though, as I didn't know my scratch password and I need to sign in to get pictures of my video game.
Today I replaced the placeholders with images of the game, and added more voiceovers and images.
Today I needed to shorten my video because it was longer than a minute. I didn't realize this until almost the end and I freaked out so I didn't really get much done.
I Recreated my video project (which wasn't that hard, as I had already had my images I needed saved) and I started working on my Reflection.
Using iMovie, an iPad, and Scratch, I created A video showcasing what I have added to my scratch game because I wanted to share how my scratch game is going and the new mechanics in it. I had worked on my scratch game recently, and wanted to share information about my it because it has been worked on for a long time. It also ties to my previous video in 7th Grade, that being a video about different games that I have made.
During this process, I learned how to add sound effects to my iMovie project. I also had learned how to add songs to the project. Another thing I learned is how to change where the image zooms to when an image is shown in my iMovie.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I shared my video game idea to others, and sharing what has been done to it. I did this by creating a video about my video game and sharing it to the world by posting it on a website.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the constant and confusing time where the video would mention saving changes or duplicating the project. I was able to do it by just continuing to work on it even when this confusing event occurred. I would usually just duplicate the project, delete the duplicate, and work on the original again.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the length of the video. If I couldn't do that, I would change Idea for the video I used. The reason why I would change the length of the video is because I felt like I did not have that much time to explain my ideas and explore what was actually added besides a hollow description. I would change the idea I used if I needed to because I feel like I would need that extra time to really explain what I want to explain if I use the idea of sharing what has been added to my video game.
