In the Acorn room the children start to become more independent. They begin to think for themselves and problem solve. This then leads onto learning to use and understand language effectively as a form of communication. The children begin to learn, recognise and apply the skills that they have been taught with little support. At this stage they also begin to play alongside others and start to include them within their play. They are more aware of their body movement and how their body works which leads to exploration in active play.
