At our nursery, we believe that the most meaningful learning happens when there is a seamless bridge between a child’s life at home and their time with us. Our Home Learning Challenges are a weekly tradition designed to spark curiosity and extend the magic of discovery beyond the nursery gates. Every week, we post a new, practical activity on the Famly app, inviting you and your child to embark on a mini-adventure in the comfort of your own home.

Our Home Learning challenge is a wonderful exercise in building continuity and excitement for learning. By introducing a new challenge once a week, we help children see that the world around them from the kitchen to the garden is a giant playground for their imagination. This consistent rhythm helps even our youngest learners develop a sense of purpose and pride as they embark on their special mission, teaching them that learning isn't just something that happens at nursery, but a lifelong journey.

The heart of these challenges lies in practical, hands-on exploration and empowerment. We purposefully design each activity to be accessible and fun, focusing on real-life experiences rather than worksheets. Whether it’s a 'Silly Sock Sort' to practice early maths, a 'Nature Treasure Hunt' for sensory exploration, or a 'Kitchen Orchestra' to build rhythm, these moments of selection and play give your child a sense of agency as they lead their own learning in a familiar environment.

Once a challenge is completed, the magic of shared experience continues through the Famly app. We encourage you to capture your child's creations whether it's a photo of a block tower, a video of a new dance or a painting and upload them directly to the app to share with our practitioners. This allows our team to see your child's progress firsthand and provides a wonderful opportunity for the children to share their creations with their peers and the adults in their room during our group times. It is a moment of immense pride when a child sees their home activity celebrated by their nursery family!
