Dussehra is a hindu festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil. It is a gazetted holiday in India, which is marked on the 10th day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the month of Ashvin (Ashwayuja), according to the Hindu calendar. On this day, Lord Rama defeated Ravana and freed her wife from him. It is celebrated as a holiday in India in which statues of Ravana and his brothers are burned. It is called as Ramleela. It is mainly celebrated in the month of october and november. After it, we celebrate Diwali as on this day Lord Rama came back after defeating Ravana from Sri lanka. It is also known as Vijyadashami.
