Bhai dooj is a Indian festivals celebrated by the people of India and by Nepal,after Diwali on the second lunar day of Shukla Paksha in the Vikram Samvat Hindu Calendar month of Karika. It is similar to Rakha Bandhan in which brothers give gifts to their sisters. In the southern part of the country, the day is celebrated as Yama Dwight . In Haryana (place in india) , it is celebrated by a coconut (gola) in hindi and klewa for the aarti of brothers. It is also celebrated in Nepal after dussehera as these are some of their most important festivals. They calls it as Bhai Tika.
