SWBAT analyze and explain the influence of Enlightenment ideas on the American colonists.
MWH.2.P: Analyze significant developments resulting from colonists in the Western Hemisphere applying the principles of the Enlightenment in the creation of the new political institutions during the period 1765–1815.
This indicator was developed to encourage inquiry into the European Enlightenment, and how the ideas of the Enlightenment led to the British, American, French, Haitian, and Latin American Revolutions.
MWH.2.E: Utilize a variety of primary and secondary sources to analyze multiple perspectives on global interactions.
Students will watch and take notes on the video on Enlightenment. Then create a 10 word story.
2. Students will look at the Enlightenment Philosophers their importance
Enlightenment Philosophers.ppt3. Students will go through a simulated gallery walk to identify how the enlightenment philosophers influenced Revolutions around the world.
