On January 25, 2020, DP 11 students from Pak Adi and Ibu Veronique’s classes went to ”La Posta”, an Argentinian restaurant to taste some savory dishes like “milanesa a caballo” or the famous “Rogel” (picture) made with dulce de leche. The students ordered in Spanish and asked Chef Pancho, the Argentinian restaurant owner, questions about food and life in his native country. Ibu Paula, from El Salvador, joined us as well so that the students had many different Spanish speaking people to converse with. It was a lovely day and both Pak Adi and I took great pleasure to see our students speaking Spanish and enjoying their meal.

The food is a prescribed topic in the IB Diploma for both Spanish ab initio and language B.
