Kindergarten students have certain special learning sessions every week. First, we have a swimming session that is a part of the Physical Education Program, which is integrated with the Key Concept of Function that we are currently learning about. Students are learning the function of their body parts in the water as they explore and develop their motor skills in the water. They always enjoy this lesson, showing their skills and bravery to swim in the small and big pools. Thank you to Pak Asep, Pak Alwan, Pak Dedi and Ibu Harna for making our swimming sessions fun, enjoyable and safe!
Next, Mathematics. It is an important part of learning in early years and receiving a good grounding in maths is an essential life skill. In addition to numeracy, learning maths supports the students in developing problem-solving skills which helps with logic and patterning, understanding shapes and measurement, and developing their own spatial awareness!
Global Jaya encourages children to learn and have a deeper understanding about religion through weekly religion lessons. Here, Kindergarten students learn about rituals or activities that are taught in specific religions. Big thank yous to our religion teachers Pak Tisno, Pak Sudir, Ibu Dayu, Ibu Etha, Ibu Mariani, and Pak Eka for teaching us every Monday.
Regarding language skills, some of the Kindergarten students are learning Mandarin. They learn basic skills such as how to speak or greet people in Mandarin. Xie xie, Lao Tse Bonita for teaching our little kids this beautiful language. :)
