Where to begin with how the editing process went.....
It took an extra 2 days than planned all because I couldn't link stuff from premiere pro back to rush although it worked fine the other way around. I mainly used Adobe Rush on my Ipad to create this video because I was filming with my iphone and it would link all the footage there (Whereas I have a HP laptop). It was working great and I could achieve almost everything I needed on it except for things to do with Key frames. I had a few sections in my video that needed them for zoom ins and other things. So I got to where I wanted in my video, pretty much finished with those last things to do so I synced the project with the cloud and after uploading everything I could open it on premiere. I managed to do the key framing I needed to but I was having issues with not being able to hear audio on Premiere so I decided I would finish the video on rush as I needed to sync in the audio. But would it sync back to Rush....... NO. So after spending hours googling and trying different things I first figured I could just keep in the key frame edited parts, export that, put it back into rush and re edit it in. (Because when linking from rush to premiere it keeps everything in it's place) But then my Ipad wouldn't open those files from the cloud so I gave up for the night.
The next day I had the genious idea of opening Rush on my Ipad and importing those edited clips in there..... and it worked! I guess it was because I was still on the same system (my laptop) so it was in the right format to import. Then Rush linked perfectly from my laptop to my Ipad so I could finally sync in my audio. But that's not the end of my problems.....
I'm finally all finished and I go to export and as i'm watching it back I realised there was 2 sections where the clips go funny? See below
I have no idea why this happened, there's nothing in the editor showing these jumps and when I play it back there it plays like it's supposed to. So after not being able to figure out why it was happening I had to delete those pieces and re edit them in which was a pain... and finally when it exported it looked right. (However I did go back to change the volume of music in one part and re exported and the same thing happened again so I don't know what it's problem is with those sections but at least I have one good export).
When I first started editing I had a whole storyboard planned for the video where it goes:
Making the plate
Glazing
Bisque Firing
Failed Plate
Second Plate
Reverse into how I made second Plate
Glaze Firing
Spinning Plate
Eating Guyanese Food from plate
But obviously this made my video way to long, it was going on 4 to 5 minutes so I decided to cut out the part about making the second plate as it's pretty much just a repeat of making the first one. Unfortunately I also had to cut out having the plate being used with my mum's lovely Guyanese food as it just made more sense to finish the video and the plate dancing. So overall I managed to cut the video down to just under 3 minutes which is still very long but it was a lot of hard work so I hope you still enjoy it even if it's a bit long!
