Online news-as-literacy platform that features high-interest articles and syncs with google classroom & Microsoft. TED-Ed is TED’s youth and education initiative. It offers animated videos that share big ideas for students to watch, discuss, think about. Lesson Plans included.

Epic! is an award-winning subscription service, which gives millions of families and classrooms instant, unlimited access to thousands of books, videos and quizzes from leading publishers to help kids everywhere read, learn and grow. Currently, they are offering free remote student access through June 30th, 2020.

Recommended for readers up to age 12, so could be useful for lower level readers in your class.

Scholastic Learn From Home

Reading selections by week and day. No assignments to go with them but could be used for assingments.

Media Smarts

Canada's Centre for Digital Literacy. MediaSmarts has been developing digital and media literacy programs and resources for Canadian homes, schools and communities since 1996. Through our work we support adults with information and tools so they can help children and teens develop the critical thinking skills they need for interacting with the media they love.
