太空科技應用及我國太空產業的重要性近年來大幅提升,隨著共乘發射及衛星微型化的普及度增加,現在產官學界開發離開低地球軌道到高軌道、進月球軌道或參加行星任務的機會逐步增加。然而,這些軌道因為少了低地球軌道可用來進行軌道及姿態調整的空氣阻力及較強的地球磁場所以必須仰賴不同的推進系統完成前述功能,以便達到任務目標。然而,我國對於太空推進系統的設計、應用、以及可完成任務的太空載具系統設計與整合有經驗的師資欠缺。推進相關的既有課程大多也都只會介紹推進器細部運作及設計原理,對於推進的太空任務應用以及任務需求如何反映在推進系統的設計、製造與應用過程較為琢磨。
ArianeGroup 是位於歐洲,世界最大的太空載具與推進科技廠商之一,該公司的推進系統整合到多個我國以及我國有參與的太空計劃。本課程將對學生提供一個對太空推進設計與太空任務應用的宏觀由小到大的介紹,從基本的火箭推進原理及推進器種類開始、延伸到推進系統規格定義、組成、製作、整合、測試與操作方式。最後會介紹歷年有指標性的月球、火星及行星衛星登陸器設計,以及對應的太空任務設計進步與技術挑戰。
ArianeGroup 是位於歐洲,世界最大的太空載具與推進科技廠商之一,該公司的推進系統整合到多個我國以及我國有參與的太空計劃,如:國家太空中心的福衛系列、本校參與的ispace Hakuto-R民間登月任務、等。本課程希望邀請 ArianeGroup 資深的推進工程師Ulrich Gotzig 介紹太空推進系統及其應用的任務、系統設計與整合考量。因此讓我國學生有機會與國際著名的太空推進公司專家互動並從多樣任務的範例學習。
本課程可對學生提供與世界頂尖的太空推進科技廠商ArianeGroup業師交流學習過去的太空推進設計與實現經驗以及未來國際趨勢,同時也可提升本校在國際太空產業的能見度,奠定未來持續交流並建構實習機會。
Ulrich Gotzig
Ulrich Gotzig 為歐洲知名太空推進及發射載具公司 ArianeGroup 的軌道推進資深專家及另類燃料研發技術經理。Ulrich老師 1990 年於德國Technical University of Stuttgart 獲得航太工程碩士,同年以化學推進研發測試工程師的角色加入ArianeGroup、自2009年擔任單燃料及雙燃料推進器研發製造工程直管,並帶團開發多樣化學推進器並協助進行太空任務分析與系統開發。Gotzig 老師著有多篇太空推進系統研發與分析的 SCI 期刊及研討會論文,同時也擔任多次歐盟 Horizon 2020 及歐洲太空總署太空推進相關研究計劃主持人。Ulrich 老師自 2012 年另外擔任德國University of Applied Science Baden Württemberg 太空推進資深講師,平均每年指導1名碩士生、每四年指導1名博士生。

· Graduated as Dipl. Ing. Aerospace Engineering Technical University of Stuttgart in 1990 (equivalent to University M.Sc.)
· Space Systems Engineer in 2004
· since 2012 Lecturer for Space Propulsion at University of applied Science Baden Württemberg
· Supervision of student theses: typically one M.Sc. thesis per year and one Ph.D. thesis every 4 years
Position
· 1990: joined MBB, now Ariane Group in Lampoldshausen
· 2005: Nomination as Expert for Orbital propulsion
· Since 2009 Lead Engineer for monopropellant and bipropellant thruster development and production
· 2019: Nomination as Senior Expert for Orbital propulsion and as Expert Discipline Focal Point for Orbital propulsion to align all related expert activities
Professional Experience
· Started as development and test engineer for chemical propulsion and is now responsible both for classical chemical thruster development / production and leading ArianeGroup’s research in alternative (green) propulsion. Within Expert role also Electric Propulsion (RIT technology).
· Since 2009: Team Lead for mono- and bipropellant thruster development and production, ArianeGroup GmbH, Lampoldshausen: Development and production of classical, hydrazine based monopropellant thrusters in a thrust range between 50mN up to 2,5kN
· Development and production of classical MON/MMH based bipropellant thrusters in a thrust range between 4N up to 500N
· Development of thrusters working alternative fuels: H2O2 based, ADN based, N2O based, green hypergolic bipropellants, water propulsion
· Mission analysis and System development
