Word work: Watch the sight words story video here. Have students read the sight word stories in their printed sight word packet.
Go to Scholastic News and read the article about MLK Jr. "We're in this Together". Watch the videos and choose a page to complete.
Read with an adult for 20 minutes. Practice sounding out and then "sliding" through words. Look for sight words that you know. Slowly slide though words you may have guessed to make sure the letters match the word (this is "cross-checking").

Zoo Phonics- Children should practice their letter names and sounds each day. Print the Zoo phonics chart to refer to when children are reading and writing. Watch the video to learn the actions that go with each letter. Then practice on your own to see how quickly children can remember and make the letter sounds.
