Spend 5 minutes practicing sight word flashcards. Learn and add a few new words each day.
Find and complete Seesaw assignment(s) for today. ***Please don't help students with sight words check. This is a test to tell me which words they need to practice.
Watch and read along to the sight word story video above.
Do "Comprehension Check #5" from the packet. Parents please help children on the first reading. Children should read the passage a second time. Then help them read the questions.
Read 20 minutes with an adult. Read the new white books. "Animal Moms" and Duck's Nest"
If your student uses Lexia Core 5 , please have them log in for 20 minutes.

Tuesday

Sight words: Complete 2 assigned activities at Spellingcity.com. Watch this video to help you log in and find assignments.
Find and complete Seesaw assignment(s) for today. ***Please don't help students with sight words check.
Do "Comprehension Check #12" from the packet. Parents please help children on the first reading. Children should read the passage a second time. Then help them read the questions.
Do Zippy Speedy Roll and Read "-ing" family. This is at the back of your packet. Use a dice to roll a number. Read the line as quick as you can! You can take turns with a sibling or parent who is willing to play.
Read 20 minutes, at least 10 on Kids A-Z "level up" . The link and password are below.

LexiaCore5

Lexia Core 5 students click here to do LexiaCore 15-20 minutes, at least 3 days per week.

**Use Chrome browser. The first time your child logs onto LexiaCore5 on their device, you will need to type sr@kpbsd.org as the teacher email. From there, they can use their school username and password. Most Chromebooks have Lexia bookmarked with your child's password saved.

Zoo Phonics- Children should practice their letter names and sounds each day. Print the Zoo phonics chart to refer to when children are reading and writing. Watch the video to learn the actions that go with each letter. Then practice on your own to see how quickly children can remember and make the letter sounds.
