October is NATIONAL CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS MONTH

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October is an excellent reminder to maintain and protect your hardware and software. 

Here are some helpful tips to protect yourself.

• Create secure passwords and don’t share them.

• Avoid common words, phrases, and personal information when creating passwords.

• Don’t click on links in e-mails. Links are an excellent way to get a virus. The same goes for pop-ups.

• Turn on the pop-up blocker on your anti-virus. If you still receive a pop-up, do not click on it.

***FHS Student Scholarship Opportunity- Veritas AI International High School Hackathon***

A free, fully virtual AI hackathon for high school students on November 14–15. Students can compete individually or in teams of up to three to build an AI project—no prior AI experience required.

Finalists will present to judges from Microsoft Research, Stanford, Harvard, and Princeton. The top team will earn an AI internship, with a total prize pool of $70,000, including scholarships.
