Important Reminder:

As you may be aware, on May 8, 2021, there was a ransomware attack on Colonial Pipeline. Colonial Pipeline carries 45 percent of the East Coast’s fuel supplies.

Recently, some school districts in NJ were hit with a ransomware attack whereby outside actors were able to lock the district's network and data and demanded large sums of money to unlock it. This situation is so serious that state and federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, are involved in the investigation. The majority of these attacks are facilitated by staff who opened attachments they shouldn't have, or clicked on a link and supplied username and password information.
