Tech Updates from Edward

Tuesday Tech Tips is a weekly blog that contains interesting technology tips, articles, and videos.

Seesaw Update:

Viewing students' work: There is a concern about the level of viewing students' work. Currently, some teachers allow viewing/commenting on students' work among students and their families. Is this the intention of using Seesaw? I do suggest that teachers have the "Students Can See Each Other's Work" setting is Off.

Here is a video created by Heather Poppell on How to Set Privacy Settings on SeeSaw

If teachers want to have students view and comment on a specific assignment then they can do the following:

A. The first is to tap on the 3 dots under a post you'd like to the whole class to see, and then tap "edit people". You can tag all students on that post.

B. The second option is for teachers to activate their Seesaw Class Blog. This will give teachers a space to add posts from the journal where everyone in the teacher's class can see and comment on the post, while still having a private classroom space as well.

Here is a video that explains how to use Seesaw blogs this way.

Clever Training Update:

Only have a few minutes to learn about Clever? Here are some short videos to get you on your way! Check out some of these cool Clever Quick Start Videos. The Troubleshooting Login video is a must watch !!

Instructional Technologies Support Form for FTPS Staff:

In order to provide you with the support needed, we ask that you complete the Instructional Technology Programs Help Form so that we can respond in a timely manner to all the requests. This form is for the following Instructional Technology Programs: Seesaw, Zoom, iReady, Link it, Clever, Genesis, Ready Rosie, Imagine Math, Studies Weekly and Google Classroom/Meet. This will ensure that we have all the necessary information.

That's it for now!
