Tech Tip From One Of Our Teachers

Here is a Tech Tip from Maria Samaras, CES Teacher, who recently attended a tech workshop:

Tip: How to set up 2 breakout rooms and be present in both rooms at the same time!

This is how:

1. You log into your Zoom meeting with a computer, and then a second device (ipad, phone, another computer...)

2. You keep the audio and video off the 2nd device until you need them.

3. Breakout the kids into two rooms. Your computer will be placed in one room, and your second device will be placed in the other room and you will be in two places at once!!!!

4. Alternate audio and video on your devices depending on what room you want to talk into, while also sending messages to the room you're not talking to. Also, you can display a chart in one room so kids can use it with their independent work, while you are actually teaching in the other.
