Imagine a Franklin Student being one of the 5 Grand Prize Winners: $5000 scholarship or grant to start a business.

Or a Franklin teacher being one of the Five teachers to win a $1000 cash prize for above and beyond instruction with Your Voice is Power.

We can do this!

Your Voice is Power provides both students and teachers an introduction to computer science through a real-world exploration of how music, computer science, and entrepreneurship can be tools to advance racial justice. Built-in collaboration with Yellow, students channel their learning into an original remix of Pharrell’s song Entrepreneur – a celebration of Black culture – using Python computer code. New this competition year, students can also use computer code to remix Alicia Key’s song, Underdog, and Khalid’s New Normal as part of their original creations.
