Tech Updates from Edward

Tuesday Tech Tips is a weekly blog that contains interesting technology tips, articles, and videos.

Two Screens for Teachers is a non-profit that started in September to provide teachers with a second monitor for teaching during COVID. A second monitor lets you see your students on one screen and lesson plans on another.

DEADLINE: TODAY at 11:59 pm Eastern

https://www.twoscreensforteachers.org/

To celebrate Giving Tuesday, we're buying monitors for an entire school district! But we need your help.

The school district with the highest percentage of teachers signed up on Two Screens for Teachers will win. So spread the word to colleagues throughout your school and school district and ask them to sign up:

Reporting Connectivity Issues:

We are monitoring our network performance, so if you experienced any type of connectivity issues, please report it to the Help Desk, and carbon copy Edward Ward and your Building Administrator.

Before reporting check the following:

A. Check to see how many applications you are running on your MacBook. Click on the Apple and go to Force Quit. (This will list the open applications currently running on your computer - Word, Excel, Chrome, Zoom, etc). If you have multiple applications running, then quit the applications you don't need.

B. Check the number of open tabs on your Chrome browser

C. Make sure you have the latest Zoom App running on your MacBook.

Please include the following:

  • Name:

  • Building / Classroom #:
