The Engineering Studies course gives students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in a variety of engineering fields listed below. It explores engineering materials, mechanics, the scope of the profession and the history and development of engineering. It gives students a strong preparation to undertake an Engineering degree at a university and for a career as an engineer.

Engineered products
Braking systems
Bio-engineering
Topics covered in the HSC year include -
Civil structures
Personal and public transport
Aeronautical engineering
Telecommunications engineering
This course is quite rigorous and requires a good understanding of Mathematics, Science and Technology and a desire to learn “how stuff works”. It has a small section on technical drawing, but you will cope if you have not studied this before.
To be successful in this course students need to have reasonable skills in Maths and a willingness to keep up with the academic demands of the course.
