EVERY lesson has a reflection in the last 5 minutes. WHAT - SO WHAT - NOW WHAT?
We are looking at specific devices/ techniques in the text and recording examples when we find them.
We will explain how the example works by isolating a part (a word, quote, symbol etc).
We will assess the title and how it relates to the text as a whole. What is interesting or unusual about it?
This is where we connect the devices and consider how they work together to convey meaning or purpose. E.g. Setting > Symbolism > Characterisation.
Reiterate the message - meaning - significance of the text. Evaluate the effectiveness of using these aspects as a way of creating a memorable story.
