As a class, discuss the main themes and messages of the speech.
In pairs, brainstorm a list of issues related to racism and the Australian Dream that you feel strongly about and want to address in a persuasive letter.
Use your list to write a persuasive letter addressed to a relevant local member or organisation.
Share your group's letter with the class and discuss it as a whole!
