The Outsiders is a coming-of-age novel by S.E. Hinton, first published in 1967. The story follows the struggles of two rival gangs, the Greasers and the Socs, in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the 1960s.
S.E. Hinton wrote this novel when they were 16!
