A t Gilmerton garden we learned about rights and did loadsssssssssssssssssssss of watering and we ran through the sprinklers:) Even though we probably weren't supposed to.
It was a fun morning but a bit sad because it was the P7s last visit to the garden... ever! We made sure they worked hard by using spades to put lots of compost on some of the plants.
We tried to work out which Rights from the UNCRC we were getting by helping out in the garden. There were a lot!
Grass
At Gilmerton Gardens Di also told us about different types of grass, how they are all different and how they cause hayfever.
Different types of grass include the lesser common grass, lawn grass, scutch grass napier grass and many more. Grasses are different because of their flowers, colour, lengths of stems and lots more - just as we are all different.
Hayfever is caused by grasses when they flower and give off pollen It affects up to 1 in 5 people at some point in their life. It seemed to affect lots of us today so Mr Brown came to the rescue to collect a few of us!
