Diigo: Professional Learning Network
What I Did ✅:
As part of our Professional Learning Network (PLN) we were introduced to Diigo, which before this course I had no idea even existed. It is a valuable resource for social bookmarking. I was able to bookmark, annotate, screenshot, and create groups for many valuable resources for college work as well as teacher resources. It is very easy to use and as an add-on extension, I still use it today.
What I Learned 🧠:
I have learned a valuable way to sort and organize some great resources. I have found Diigo to be efficient, safe, and reliable. It has allowed me to apply higher-level thinking skills while highlighting key information for research. It has allowed me to personalize my PLN with information that is useful to what I do each day with children and families in my teaching career.
How I Will Grow 🌱:
I will continue to grow my Diigo PLN and utilize it to collaborate more with 'collective intelligence' on topics and elements that will help me grow both personally and professionaly. Some features that I look forward to using are the power that it has to link to blogs and its ability to save time by creating summaries of online posts.
