4 Color Outline T-Shirt

If you haven't already downloaded the T-Shirt template to your computer or to your Google Drive on your Chromebook, or if you no longer have it, then make sure to do so. Also make sure it is located in a place where you can easily find it!!

This video will show you what you will need to do to get set up to begin the project. For this project you are going to need a black and white line drawing that you will use for the main graphic. You are not only welcome, but encouraged to create your own line drawing to use. If you go this route discuss with Mr. Stav what would be your best options. Don't worry, f you don't feel that you are the best artist, you do have options. If you want to use one of my line drawings that was specifically designed for this project then click on this link: Line Drawings for T-Shirt Designs. You can also get a line drawing off of the Internet. If you do, then make sure to specify "Large Images" for the size, and "Line Drawings" for the type when applying the search filter in the web browser.

Don't just watch the Black Halftone video and assume this process is exactly the same. While there are similarities, there are important differences and steps that if you don't follow, you'll find your project won't turn out like it's supposed to. This will complete the first part of your project. You get graded on both projects so make sure to turn this phase of the project in to Google Classroom when you've completed it. Check the "T-Shirt Design Rubric" below.

When you are done creating the screen separations you'll want to provide instructions to the printing company. Download this PSD File of Instructions to your Google Drive (if on a Chromebook), or your hard drive (if on a PC or Mac desktop or laptop computer). Then, with your Screen Separations file open, select "Open and Place", navigate to this file and place it at the top of the stacking order. Replace the "Your Name" text with your first and last name. This is just an exercise, so you don't have to put your phone number. You can always do this later if a club or sport chooses to use your design.

The Screen Separations get graded as a second project so make sure to turn this phase into Google Classroom when you are done with it. Check the "Screen Separations Rubric Below.
