Luke graduated from Delphi in the class of 2022, and was the valedictorian.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad and Carrie Smock, and has a brother Colby. He was coached by Ryan Long. 

Luke upon graduation goes down as one of the Oracles' best lead-off hitters of all time. Holding the top two single season positions on the stolen bases record board, and in the top five rankings for hits, singles, and triples. The left side infielder earned North-South All-star and All-state honors in 2022, and was an All-state selection in 2021 as a Junior.

Luke's baseball teams won a Sectional every year he competed in black and gold, as well as won a regional and finished in the final four in 2021. Luke also competed in tennis and basketball during his athletic career.

After graduation, Luke became the second Oracle to reach the Division 1 NCAA level as he continued his academic and baseball career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
