Braden Atwood was a graduate of the class of 2010 at Delphi. He is the son of Mike and Lynn Atwood, and has a brother Mike Jr. and sister Brittany. He was coached by his father, Mike Atwood.
Braden graduated Delphi as the most decorated wrestler in program history. He achieved 3 state finals qualifications, and earned podiums in all three. As a sophomore he placed 4th, junior 5th, and senior lost a heart breaking overtime match in the finals to be the runner-up.
Statistically he held the single season pins record of 40, all-time wins record of 183, and all-time pins record with 123.
After graduation he went on to wrestle on a full scholarship at Purdue University where he qualified multiple times for the NCAA Championships. He then competed on the Olympic qualifier circuit before finally retiring from competition.
