Donnie was a member of the Oracle class of 2008. He is the son of Don and Dee Alderman. He was coached by Mike Atwood.

Donnie was a two time state qualifier in wrestling, and as a senior his 3rd place podium was the highest position an Oracle wrestler had finished. He graduated as Delphi's all-time take down (364), single season take downs (149), and career wins (150) champion.
