ฉลากยาและคู่มือการใช้อุปกรณ์ต่างๆ

4.1 ฉลากยา (Drug Lables) ข้อความบนฉลากยาจะให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับตัวยาที่สําคัญ (Active ingredients) สรรพคุณของยา (Uses) ข้อควรระวังในการใช้ (Warnings) วิธีใช้ (Directions) และข้อมูล คําแนะนําอื่น ๆ ที่สําคัญ เช่น เก็บไว้ในที่เย็น เป็นต้น

ข้อความที่เป็นการใช้ยา ข้อควรระวัง ข้อมูลคําแนะนําอื่น ๆ มักจะเขียนอยู่ในรูปของ ประโยคคําสั่ง ซึ่งขึ้นต้นด้วยคํากริยา เช่น

- Keep out of reach of children. (เก็บให้พ้นมือเด็ก)

- Take one tablet after each meal. (กินยา 1 เม็ดหลังอาหาร)

- Shake well before use. (เขย่าขวดก่อนใช้ยา)

นอกจากนี้ ยังมีข้อความคําแนะนําอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการใช้ยาที่ควรทราบ เช่น

- You should have it directly after meal. (ควรกินยาทันทีหลังอาหาร)

- The doses must not be divided. (ต้องไม่แบ่งยากิน กินยาตามคําสั่งอย่าง เคร่งครัด)

- Do not use if the package is open. (ห้ามใช้ถ้ากล่องถูกเปิดแล้ว)

หลักไวยากรณ์ (Grammar focus)

ประโยคคําสั่ง จะละประธานไว้ในฐานที่เข้าใจ เพราะประโยคคําสั่ง เป็นประโยคที่ บอกให้ผู้ฟัง หรือผู้รับสารเป็นผู้กระทํา ดังนั้น ประธานของทุกประโยคคําสั่งก็คือ YOU นั่นเอง ประโยคชนิดนี้มักพบในคําชี้แจง (Instructions)

ส่วนอื่นของประโยคก็ยังเหมือนเดิม คือ ประกอบด้วย Verb (V) + Object (O) + Place (P) + Time (T) เช่น

4.2 คู่มือการใช้อุปกรณ์ (Instruction)

การใช้ Sim card และ Battery ของโทรศัพท์มือถือ ขั้นตอนการเตรียมโทรศัพท์มือถือ (Cell phone)

1. Press the release buttons and lift the back cover off.

2. If the battery is inserted, left the battery in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

3. Insert the SIM card. Make sure that the contact area on the card is facing the connectors on the device and that the beveled corner is facing the top of the device.

4. Align the contacts of the battery with the corresponding connectors on the battery compartment, and insert in the direction of the arrow
