Test & Critique
After the design phase, students should have a working idea, prototype or draft that is ready to share with others. It is important for the people they are designing for to test what they have and provide feedback about what is working, what they like, and what needs further improvement. The feedback they collect will be used in the redesign step to move your product closer to success without requiring large investments of time and resources.
Strategies for Testing & Collecting Feedback
Ask for Feedback: Even if you think your design is "ready to go", it is important to continue to collect feedback from the people you are designing for.
Pitch Your Idea: Creating a short pitch to sell your concept is a great way to share the key aspects and get feedback from stakeholders.
Role Play: A quick and tangible way to test an idea or experience is to get into character and act it out.
