About Our Sanitation System...
The City of Big Lake provides dumpsters throughout the city for both residential and commercial customers. Residential dumpsters are picked up once per week and commercial dumpster pick-up is scheduled.

What items can I place in my dumpster?
Normal, every day household trash. You may place televisions or computer monitors in the dumpster provided you have busted the screens.
It is forbidden to place demolition of any kind, mattresses, paint cans, metal, batteries, tires, oil filters, microwaves, asbestos, flammable fluids, wire, 5 gallon buckets of liquids, or furniture inside the dumpster.
What is the base sanitation rate?

When is the City's free day for dumping at the landfill?
City limits residents are allowed free dumping at the City landfill on the first Saturday each month. Free dumping excludes demolition items.
What is the cost to dump items at the landfill?
Per visit to the landfill, excluding demolition, the fee is $10.00 up to 1 ton, and $10.00 per ton thereafter.
For Demolition, the fee is $35.00 per ton for inside City limits and $60.00 per ton for outside City limits.
