What information do I need in order to obtain a building permit?
Depending on what you are building, anything commercial or industrial has to have a complete set of engineered plans. Simple projects, such as home projects, contact Cindy at 325-884-2511, email at ceo@cityofbiglaketx.org. Click here for a Building permit application.
Do I need a permit to place a mobile home or storage building on my property?
Yes, you may complete a mobile home/moving structure permit and contact Cindy at 325-884-2511, or email: ceo@cityofbiglaketx.org.
How long does my golf cart permit last?
Golf Cart permits are valid until December 31st for the year in which it was issued, regardless of when the permit was issued. Golf Carts are required to physically inspected before a new permit may be issued. You may download a Golf Cart Permit Application here.
Do I need a permit to keep chickens inside the city limits?
Yes, you may complete a Fowl Permit and drop it off at City Hall, or contact the Animal Control Officer, Lacy Chappell at
(325) 884-2431, or (325) 450-2428.
