Chaos in Pink and Blue

oil on canvas

Process:

My process begins completely from experimentation; I become inspired by certain attributes I notice within my everyday life. The act of creating something entirely from my own mind into a form in which other people can experience it is what has led me to want to continue producing work for the rest of my life. I find the entire process, beginning to end, an exploration of materiality as well as that of my own psyche. I will research whatever it is that has caught my eye to develop a thorough understanding of its nature.

Progress:

My progress is contingent upon the way in which my process goes, so in a sense they are intertwined. I find that noticing certain aspects of a previous work can help inform new ones. So for me progress is something that can always move forward even when inspiration is hard to find. In this way my process and progress are completely individual to myself and have allowed me to explore new artistic endeavors I wouldn't have previously been cognizant of.
