Process

I really like to go into depth with one medium, and explore multiple subjects. After completing individual pieces with varying focuses, I like to combine the topics depicted into a culmination of my work that represents as many different styles and subjects that I had previously investigated.

Progress

I know that I am making progress when I begin to explore multiple mediums with a work -- for example, using lining and painting to elevate a drawing. It is also difficult to say when a piece is complete, so generally I keep most things either open or closed -- I don’t like to have any middle ground.
