The Mental Health Association of Alameda County is a nonprofit organization that advocates for individuals with mental illness, supporting and educating their family caregivers, and offers free mental health resources to the residents of the Alameda County.
The City of Berkeley Mental Health provides a range of community-based mental health services to Berkeley residents. They work with people in Berkeley clinics, in schools, in their homes, on the street or in shelters, and in a variety of other settings.
You may be eligible to receive mental health services if you are:
A Berkeley resident or unhoused person in Berkeley
Over 18 years old
Diagnosed with a severe mental illness (such as Schizophrenia, severe depression, severe bipolar disorder, etc.)
Have functional impairments (such as a limited ability to function independently or in a workplace)
Have Medi-Cal or are eligible for Medi-Cal

Marijuana Anonymous is dedicated to helping people through their addiction to marijuana. We offer a variety of services and support for those looking to remove marijuana from their live.
SERVICES OFFERED: 12-step program; public information; support group
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using marijuana. There are no dues or fees for memberships.
Cocaine Anonymous Online offers recovering addicts a safe, welcoming place to share experiences, discuss coping skills, and offer each other hope while maintaining sobriety by working with others.
We offer the following type of meetings:
Email meetings – These are email based and run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Voice meetings (VoIP) – OSA voice only meetings are held on Skype or Go To Meeting, Freeconferencecall and are similar in format to face to face meetings. As a general rule we only use the voice part, no cameras.
We use the twelve step recovery program, because it has already been proven that the program works. A twelve-step program is a set of guiding principles outlining a course of action for recovery from addiction, compulsion, or other behavioral problems.
Anyone who wants to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances (including alcohol and other drugs) is welcome. All meetings are free of charge. In keeping with C.A. traditions, there are no dues or fees for membership, we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
Narcotics Anonymous offers In-Person Meetings and Online Meetings for individuals who are seeking an anonymous support group to assist their journey in recovering from substance abuse.

Provides 12-step support groups for persons dealing with alcoholism. Offers a 24 hour hotline for persons in recovery or wanting to begin the process of alcohol recovery.

The Salvation Army ARC drug and alcohol rehabs operate throughout the country, offer long term care, and provide low cost and free treatment to those in need and without the ability to pay.
Anyone is welcome, as long as they are willing to participate in a Christian program of recovery and willing to work within the organization as they undergo treatment, as a way of funding their stay. Salvation Army ARC rehabs generally run for 6 months or longer, you can get in for free and all of your food, shelter and clothing will be provided free of charge during this period. The Salvation Army, provides sober sanctuary for those with nowhere else to go and changing lives for the better across the nation.
