Junior Kindergarten
Junior Kindergarten heard "The Grouchy Ladybug" by Eric Carl and then created their own clay ladybug and then painted them with tempera paint.

Holiday Bells
Kindergarten created these musical clay bells by stamping texture in the surface and painting them with watercolor paint.
Mouse Paint
Students heard the book "Mouse Paint" then drew mice with oil pastel, then painted a rainbow of colors by only using the primary colors.
Shark Collage
Kindergarten created collages of paper made of shapes to create a scary and fun shark.
First Grade
Fabric Bowls
First grade created a bowl made from cloth scraps and watered-down glue using a styrofoam bowl as a support while drying.
Metepec Suns
Students looked at the art of Metepec, Mexico and the clay suns they created to adorn the exterior of their homes. We then created our own with layers of foam on a plate, wrapped in tinfoil and colored with permanent marker.
Clay Bird Baths
First Grade created a bird baths made of clay with melted glass beads to represents water; they were glazed as well.
Second Grade
Students looked at the art of Wassily Kandinsky and then created their own painting experimenting with color around a dot.
Third Grade
Haring People
Third grade worked as a group to complete these large Keith Haring inspired pieces of Art.
Warhol Food
Students studied the art of Andy Warhol and heard the book "Uncle Andy's" and then created their own stencil in order to recreated the same art 4 times within one piece of art.
Fourth Grade
American Regionalism
Fourth grade looked at the art of regional America during the Great Depression and more famous artists like Grant Wood and Thomas Hart Benton. Then created their own by outlining with black glue and colored with soft chalk pastels.
Bean Mosaic
Students looks at mosaics and then created their own from beans starting from a simple shape.
Fifth Grade
Positive & Negative Tiles
Fifth grade created a tile by making their own stamp to use as a positive or negative image.
Collaborative Lichtenstein
Students worked together to create this collaborative art by each creating a piece of the entity.
Banyan Trees
Fifth grade looked at the very interesting Banyan tree from the tropical regions and then created their own tree with acrylic paint and blending together oil pastels to make colorful scenes.
Sixth Grade
Desert Perspective
Sixth grade created a one-point perspective in a desert scene where they could paint or color them however they wish.
Photo Weaving
Students created a weaving using an old calendar photo cut into strips to create a weaving by weaving between the strips and actually weaving the photo strip.
Chihuly Sculptures
Sixth grade looked at the amazing glass art of Dave Chihuly and created their own sculpture make of clear acetate colored with permanent markers and mounted on a painted wooden dowel.
