Kindergarten End of the Year Fun!

Japanese Sakura

We explored creating a painting without using brushes by blowing paint and dabbing to create flowers.

We learned about 3-dimensional form and the history behind Egyptian art.

We learned about different kinds of bridges and built a 2D one over a landscape with colorful wooden sticks.

First Grade Creative Fun

We learned about the famous Mona Lisa painting and made connections between emotion and expression.

Third Grade at Their Best!

We learned how to combine multiple pinch pots to create a caterpillar form and then painted them with patterns.

We learned about the eccentric artist Andy Warhol and then created a unique stencil in order to recreate frames in our art, like Warhol!

Fifth Grade Doing Their Best Work!

We recreated one of Salvador Dali's famous bronze sculptures with clay and acrylic paint.

We looked at the beautiful and colorful pottery of Mexico and recreated our own version with watercolor pencils and planted some cacti.

Sixth Grade's Last Elementary Work

We studied the art of the Aboriginal peoples of Australia and recreated a paper boomerang in their style.

We looked at how antique amplifiers send sound in this project.

We experimented with bamboo brushes and painted in the style of traditional Japanese artists.
