Your teacher will provide one of these ways to connect to a Google Meet.
After clicking the link, entering the nickname, or the email button you will see a Preview screen and then need to Join the meeting.
1) Log into your Google Classroom.
2) Click the Meet link under the class title or the Meet button from the Classwork page.
Your teacher will send you a nickname for the Google Meet.
1) Open https://meet.google.com
2) Click the Use a meeting code button.
3) Type in the nickname or meeting code (1).
4) Click the Continue button (2).
Your teacher will send you an email invitation to the Google Meet.
1) Check your email.
2) Click the Join Meeting button.
Check your device settings before starting the meeting.
(1) Mute or unmute the microphone.
(2) Show or hide the webcam.
(3) Click the Join now button.
Note: Even if you have something to share with your teacher, do not click the Present button. You would share after the meeting starts.
1) Click the Leave call button.
Check Chrome settings
1) Click the padlock to the left of the web address.
2) Make sure Camera and Microphone are set to Allow.
3) Make sure the Sound is Automatic (default) or Allow.
Make sure the teacher has started the meeting.
Students must wait for the teacher to start the meeting before joining.
Google Classroom, teacher has not started meeting.
Nickname typed in, teacher has not started meeting.
Email invitation or meet URL, teacher has not started meeting. (our organization has enabled Meet, wait for the teacher)
