After student scores are entered, some student's may not have grades for the assignment. The grade cell can be filled depending on how the missing work should be calculated.
Families can sign-up for e-mail notification be sent for missing work. The notifications are sent for:

Scores that do not count against the student's grade for teacher approved reasons like illness or family event where the work will not be made-up.
