Engineering can be one of the best classes at BSM, but only if you use your time wisely!
- Don’t work on other classes during engineering - It can be tempting, but to be successful, you need to focus on the task at hand. Working on homework due next period and dividing your attention won't benefit you.
- Don’t procrastinate tasks - You will run into problems that you cannot immediately solve. Instead of ignoring the issue and moving on, here are a few quick solutions:
- Ask your classmates for help.
- Check the Wiki.
- Google!
- Ask the teacher, but only if you have exhausted all other options.
- Avoid taking an excessive number of breaks - Remember, breaks are temporary, and not permanent. Don't overdo your breaks and remember that you have limited time to accomplish your goals!
- Surround yourself with people that you can work with - If you get distracted while working with someone else, then you probably don't work well together. No hard feelings - you can be friends outside of class, but Engineering class isn't a party.
- Don’t overburden yourself with several tasks and focus on one task, instead - Spreading your focus will only distract you, lead to procrastination, and lengthen the amount of time needed to finish simple tasks. One thing at a time!
