Starting 2018-19 School Year
Benilde - St. Margaret's (BSM) Engineering is a premier learning and teaching experience that expands expectations beyond a typical robotics program, competing internationally at a collegiate level. Our program operates in a high quality makerspace with 3D printers, a laser cutter, CAD workstations, Python programming interfaces, and Agile development processes. Students learn from intentional failure and persistence, pursue academic risk to collaborate with peers, and solve problems that matter. Teachers work as a team, helping the students learn about thought patterns and design processes more than lecturing them on mechanical laws and programming syntax. The ideal candidate will facilitate instead of lecture, give students distance to explore, maintain a growth mindset, enjoy learning from problem solving alongside students, and bring a strong sense of enthusiastic teamwork.
We highly encourage non-traditional instructors and those with industry knowledge to apply. General technical aptitude and a willingness to learn new technology is expected, no specific technical expertise required.
