In the engineering shop there are different types of glue, this guide will help you choose what type of glue to use and how best to apply it.
- Wood glue
- Can be found in the cabinet by the sander and saw.
- Best used to glue wood to wood.
- A good method to use to apply the glue is to find a popsicle stick in the engineering office and sand it down to give it a fine point. Then pour the glue on to a paper towel that can be found to the left of the entrance of the coliseum. Rub the popsicle stuck on the poured out glue and apply it to the part that you want to glue.
- If wood glue gets on your hands it is very easy to remove, just use water and a towel.
- Super glue
- Can be found in the adhesives drawer or somewhere on the desks in the shop.
- Can be used to glue almost anything together .
- very strong glue, use only a little bit.
- To apply the glue take off the cap of the glue and put the mouth of the glue on top of the area you want to apply the glue. Squeeze the container until a small amount of glue sticks to the area you are applying the glue to. Stop squeezing. Put the cap back on once you finished.
- Be careful around super glue, it is very difficult to remove.
- If it gets on you the best way to remove the glue is to apply nail polish remover and the glue should peel off on its own.
