This guide has been designed to help you ‘get ahead’ and prepare for the transition to advanced level. More importantly, it provides a range of opportunities to further engage with of ideas linked to the A level Geography specification. Save a copy to your device and it will be a useful tool throughout your A level studies 

The booklet is designed so you can choose the activities which best suit your geographical interests and time commitments. Pace yourself throughout this guide, don’t try and do everything! You will want to keep a copy of this to help you build wider reading and extra enrichment as you move into year 12. 

Different activities take different amounts of time, creating a timetable or designating a set amount of time per day will help maintain structure and focus.

Make sure you keep notes of what you are doing, not only is this going to give you a head start into the A Level but they will be invaluable for future UCAS applications (whether you are applying for a geography degree or not!) Make sure you keep a log of what you read, watch, write and take part in and be sure to tell the department!
