Never has it been more important for us to understand and manage our impact on the natural world.
In Environmental Science we bring together a range of topics from GCSE biology, physics, chemistry and geography and go on to apply these to atmospheric science, earth science, conservation and much more!

Over the summer keep an eye out for news about environmental issues. The BBC news website is a good place to look (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news). There is also some great information on the Met Office News website (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/news-and-media/media-centre/weather-and-climate-news).
I also recommend signing up to The Met Office Climate Newsletter here (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/news-and-media/media-centre/climate-newsletter).

Work that is expected will be completed and will form part of the first few weeks of teaching.
For the first lesson in September we ask you to complete The Open University course entitled "Introduction to the environment: Ecology and ecosystems".
Don't forget to print/download your certificate at the end.
