Hello and welcome to A Level Chemistry. We are excited to meet you all in September. Together, we will develop your analytical skills, explore how the simplest carbon-based structure can become the most complex medicinal compound, and, of course, complete lots of practical work!

For the first lesson in September, we ask you to complete the following:
The Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded 200 times to 198 Nobel Laureates between 1901 and 2026.
Frederick Sanger is the only Nobel Laureate who has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry twice, in 1958 and 1980. This means that a total of 197 individuals have received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
Select 3 Chemistry Nobel Prize winners who you believe have had a significant impact on our society and/or environment today. Provide 1 side of A4 on each to summarise their achievement and its impact, who they were and how they started in Chemistry. Please use your own words and not just AI or Wikipedia.
