Abstract
This study examines how capitalism and neoliberalism have affected Israel's status as the "Start Up Nation", and how socialist and capitalist policies have historically interacted in Israel. It analyses the transition to neoliberal policies in the 1980s and 1990s that helped Israel's startup ecosystem expand while also closely examining the potential negative effects of such an approach, such as rising inequality and power consolidation. This report highlights the necessity to strike a balance to solve these issues while not destroying that which has already been built.
