We did 6 weeks swimming lessons in Mallow with 4th class. We really enjoyed it.
We started tin whistle lessons again. We were a bit rusty as we hadn't done tin whistle in a while.
We presented our 1st 5th class projects to our class on people in history who have made a difference. Some of us were nervous presenting them but we did a great job. We learned a lot about Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks. Amelia Earhart, Rachel Blackmore and many more.
We learned a lot about Ireland - counties, rivers, mountains, lakes, headlands and islands.
We learned about the Digestive System. It was good fun watching the videos.
We started our Stay Safe Programme and discussed friendships and feelings.#
We entered an Art competition called 'Someone Like Me' learning about disability and inclusivity through the medium of art. We discussed ways in which we could all develop a more positive attitude towards persons with disabilities.

Accelerated Reading
We started the Accelerated Reading Programme in January. All the children are now reading books at their own level and doing a quiz on their chromebook afterwards. We decorated these yellow folders so we can keep an account of all the books we have read. We hope this is encouraging all the children to read lots of books and to enjoy reading.
