February News 2019
February was a hectic month in the senior class. Every day everyone was working on the Junior Entrepreneur Project. The Production team continued making squeezables. The Sales team went around to the classes making sales. The marketing team designed some brilliant promotional material. The Finance team kept an eye on all money coming in and going out of the business. The Storytelling team took plenty of videos and photos, as well as working on the diary and the final presentation. Eoin McCarthy, from Ballyhass Lakes, spent an afternoon with the class discussing every aspect of life as an entrepreneur.
Peter Gunning, author of “Reaching the Heights”, called into the class to do a Q and A session. Everyone found the chat very interesting. He gave a great insight into what is involved in writing a novel and where he got all his ideas for his characters and his plot from.
Our class was very well represented at the Duhallow Scór competitions in Boherbue. We had 2 ballad groups and 4 solo singers. Everyone sang brilliantly. One of the ballad groups got through to the next round.
We continued to train every lunch time for the spikeball championships.
