We are really settling into school and we have made lots of new friends. We are still doing lots of free play activities twice a week, but we are now doing some fine motor playtime as well. We like fine motor playtime because we use pegs, links, beads, threads and playdough. We especially love using the Playdough disco videos, they are lots of fun!
Oh, The Places You'll Go!
We designed hot air balloons and even got to put photos of ourselves in them! We even got to read the story 'Oh, The Places You'll Go!' by Dr. Seuss.
Hallowe'en in Junior Infants
We had a fantastic time celebrating Hallowe'en in Junior Infants. We decorated our classroom first. We learned different words in Irish all about Hallowe'en. We went on trick or treat hunt for our Geography. We zoomed the other Junior Infant class, Senior Infants, 1st Class and 2nd Class and we had a Hallowe'en fashion show! We decorated our own pumpkins and made Mighty Monsters! We had a special treat in school and watched some cartoon Hallowe'en Mr. Bean! We even had a very special Hallowe'en golden time. It was a super super week learning and celebrating all things Hallowe'en!
We all got the chance to dress up and we were very scary!
Our teacher even dressed up as Elsa!
Meet our friend Pat the Pumpkin that our teacher carved!
We used to put a LED candle inside him everyday leading up to our holidays!
